The roof and structure
Corrugated sheets may be asbestos cement, but shape alone cannot confirm this. Describe the roof, walls and structure separately. If keeping the building, specify who installs the new roof and repairs the frame. If the shed goes, distinguish asbestos removal, demolition and what happens to the slab. Even a small building needs planned access and waste removal.
Prepare your quote
Give already known shed dimensions, the passage to the street, shared boundaries and retained elements. Existing photographs help explain access but do not constitute diagnosis. Ask for a quote separating sheets, other materials, waste transport and intended reinstatement.

Before work starts
Asbestos-cement roofing does not automatically use the same method as friable plaster: sheet condition and removal conditions matter. For demolition involving workers, Article VI.3-51 of the Code provides for prior asbestos removal unless this creates greater risk. Demolition permissions depend on region and project; check with the municipality even for a garden shed.

Is a small shed exempt from every formality?
Its size alone does not establish that. Check the identification of its materials and, if you plan demolition, the planning rules for that structure. A possible permit exemption does not remove the precautions associated with asbestos.
Does removal include a new roof?
Only if the agreed scope says so. Define who repairs the frame, installs the new roof covering and protects retained elements between interventions. The asbestos-removal quote should make these boundaries clear.
Some sheets are already broken. What should I tell you?
Describe the damage location, its visible extent and nearby access without moving any pieces. Do not clean the area to prepare for our visit. An assessment must determine the appropriate measures before removal is organised.
