How Demotek uses enquiry data, temporary drafts and consent-based analytics, and how to contact us about your data.

Your enquiry
Your request is sent to Demotek when you select ‘Send my request’. A confirmation is then sent to the email address you provided. The information is used to answer your question and prepare a possible assignment.
Data and purposes
The form asks for the type of work, site municipality, your name and email address. Work details and comments are optional. Do not include sensitive personal data. While you type, the information remains in the form’s memory, without persistent storage by this site.
Quote requests are processed to take pre-contractual steps at your request (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). General questions are handled on the basis of the legitimate interest in replying to people contacting Demotek (Article 6(1)(f)). The form does not subscribe you to advertising or make automated decisions.
Keeping your answers between steps
A temporary transfer in this tab’s session storage preserves form and questionnaire answers when you change language or transfer a questionnaire to the contact form. The destination reads and deletes it. It is not sent to a server or used for advertising. Transfers older than five minutes are ignored; remaining session data disappears when the tab closes.
For browser Back, questionnaire answers can also be stored locally in the corresponding history entry. This copy is reused only for five minutes within the same loaded document. A reload or fresh visit starts an empty questionnaire. Unsent contact drafts can remain in page memory and this tab’s session storage for Back and Forward, including after a language change. Only a random identifier is stored in history. These drafts expire after five minutes and are not restored on reload or a fresh visit. Contact draft copies in the tab are cleared when sending begins; remaining session data disappears when the tab closes.
Recipients and retention
Demotek receives your enquiry by email. The form uses a Vercel-hosted server and Resend for the request and confirmation. Upstash holds temporary technical fingerprints and counters to limit spam and duplicate submissions. To support safe retries, the server also retains a copy of the outgoing message for at most 24 hours. Technical delivery identifiers and states are retained for up to 45 days, separately from message content. Further correspondence takes place in Demotek’s email system.
Correspondence is retained while your request is followed up and, if an assignment is agreed, under applicable contractual and legal requirements. Providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Final retention periods and contractual safeguards for those transfers remain subject to validation by Demotek before the site’s commercial opening.
Cookies and external services
Google Analytics 4 loads only with your consent to measure visits and page views. It uses cookie identifiers and technical browser and device information. Form contents and URL parameters are not sent to Analytics. Google Signals and advertising personalisation are not enabled. Reject or withdraw consent at any time through ‘Manage cookies’ in the footer, without losing access to the site.
Individual event and user data retention in Analytics is set to two months, without automatic extension on a return visit. This does not apply to most standard aggregated reports.
Your choice is stored locally in your browser for 180 days. Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_…) are limited to 180 days and removed from this browser when you withdraw consent. Google Ireland Limited supplies Analytics; processing may take place outside the EEA under the safeguards described in Google’s privacy policy. Fonts and images are served by this site. External services opened through links, such as Google Maps, have their own privacy terms.
Your rights
You may ask how your data is used and, where the applicable conditions are met, request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability. You may also object to certain processing where that right applies. Contact us at the email address above.
You may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
